Job Details

For 2021-22, each student may work no more than 15 hours per week across all of their MHC student jobs.

With the exception of Dining Services, jobs at Mount Holyoke College are hired by a competitive hiring process that prioritizes work-study eligible students. (Dining Services hires work-study-eligible students for entry-level roles at an open meeting held at the beginning of each semester.)

When you decide to apply for a job through JobX, you will be asked to submit a resume as part of the application. If the supervisor also requires a cover letter or other documentation, be sure to prepare the documents as one, with a page break. Include your name in the title of your document and convert it to a PDF before uploading. Avoid using special characters in your documents.

If you are applying to more than one position and you are asked to submit a cover letter for more than one of those jobs, submit those applications separately, being certain to proofread your cover letter, and sending it to the correct department.

The Career Development Center provides extensive resume and cover letter resources. Guides are provided on the JobX homepage to assist you in the process. If you would like help creating these documents, attend a workshop, schedule an appointment, or come to office hours. Workshops, office hours and appointments can be found in Handshake.
